Lead by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, re:gen-u unites eight partners from universities, networks and associations from seven European countries to define and develop the role of HEIs in enabling a just transition to a regenerative economy.

Ca‘ Foscari University of Venice

Founded in 1868 as the first Advanced School of Commerce in Italy, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (UNIVE) is a leading university in Italy in Economics and Management, SSH, Languages, and Hard Sciences. Ca’ Foscari is organised into 8 Departments, 3 Schools and an International College. It develops fruitful relationships with the business world fostering knowledge exchange, innovation, technology transfer and entrepreneurship. Ca’ Foscari University is the overall lead for re:gen-u and also leads the project management work package and the work package, “State of the Art Report on ReGenerative Economy and the potential role of universities.”

Institut Mines-Télécom Business School

IMT-BS is one of 13 graduate schools in the Institut Mines-Télécom, one of France’s major educational and research establishments. The Institute combines strong academic legitimacy, close corporate relations and a unique focus on four key transformative fields of the 21st century: Digital Technologies, Energy, Ecology and Production. IMTBS will work with project partners to contribute to all work packages over the life of the project, and is leading Work Package 3: Training Programme and Toolkit on Innovative ReGenerate Economies, as well as Work Package 8: Exploitation and Sustainability.

University Industry Innovation Network

Through its projects, consulting services, professional education and research activities, UIIN is a leader in the development of engaged and entrepreneurial universities and has grown to be the preeminent organisation dedicated to the topic in Europe. UIIN leads the ReGenerate Impact Training and Mentoring Programme in re:gen-u and also the dissemination of the project.

Trinity College Dublin

Tangent - Trinity’s Ideas Workspace, is at the forefront of promoting entrepreneurship as an engine for economic growth and for social and cultural development, serving university students, faculty, the enterprise community, government bodies, and not-for-profit organisations. Tangent offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and professional courses, equipping a generation of learners with the power, determination and entrepreneurial spirit to create their own careers and futures. As part of re:gen-u, Tangent will deliver an Innovation Challenge Framework for adoption by the partnership based upon the common needs and challenges identified in consolidating the principles of a regenerative economy at the heart of society.

BETA Technological Centre

The Technological Centre in Biodiversity, Ecology and Environmental and Food Technology (BETA Technological Center) was born to give a definitive boost to the research activity in the field of the environmental technologies at the Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC, Spain). The main mission of the BETA Technological Centre is to be a relevant actor for the technological development, the improvement of the competitiveness and the quality of life of rural societies. In re:gen-u, BETA contributes to all areas of the project and leads Work Packages 7 and 9, Quality Assurance, and Evaluation.

The School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana (SEB LU) is both a national leader and an internationally recognized academic and research institution in its respective fields. It strives to become perceived as a world-renowned institution for the quality of our academic programs and achievements in education and research. SEB LU mission is to broaden horizons and build competencies for socially responsible management to master business and economic challenges and to be the school of choice among business and economic schools in Central and Eastern Europe for doing research, learning and creating sustainable development solutions. In re:gen-u, the SEB LU has a supporting role in different tasks in all work packages in the coming three years.

FH Münster

The Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC) is integral to the Münster School of Business at the FH Münster University of Applied Sciences. Acting globally, the S2BMRC is dedicated to developing research competencies, capabilities and results based on science and contributing towards anchoring the success path of “science with and for society” into the university policy by strengthening the cooperation of the university with the various social actors in the region. The S2BMRC at FH Münster will support activities throughout the project, especially the Training Programme and Toolkit on ReGenerative Sustainability and the ReGenerate Innovation Challenge.

National Alliance for Local Economic Development

NALED is a non-profit organisation which gathers representatives from the public, private and civic sectors with an aim to foster local economic development and policy reform. Over its 15 years of existence, NALED has gained indispensable practical and theoretical experience in applying innovative solutions for policy development and good governance through more than 180 implemented projects and public-private dialogue. Coming from the non-EU country of Serbia, NALED brings added value and perspectives of different sectors. In re:gen-u they support the ReGenerate Innovation Challenge and the Exploitation and Sustainability of the project.
